Philately is a collecting and studying of signs on post payment (stamps, envelopes, postcards and cards), other kinds of the post documentation.

The first stamp of the Grand Duchy of Pinsk is issue in January 17, 2004.

Stamps issued by the Grand Duchy of Pinsk are unique and fascinating. We are not a member of the Universal Postal Union and this has lead specialists to list our cinderella stamps and first day issues as stamps that fall in the following categories: revenue stamps, our local post stamp, special purpose, postal potpourri, poster stamps, charity stamps and other.

This classification ours stamps among above categories does not in any way diminish the interest of our issues. On the contrary, an ever increasing number of stamp collectors are finding a new interest in those stamps, especially those issued  by the Grand Duchy of Pinsk Post.

Each first day issue, stamp or set of stamps or single stamps is printed in one unique limited run of 500 a collectors stamps and up to 10,000 for a revenue or charity stamps.

Each stamp is linked to a historic and human rights project will cut 25% of the profits from the set and will be assigned to the our or a recognized charity in this field.

Stamps of some countries (France, Germany, England) are a little developed only, but there is no work from which about any stamps it would be possible to receive all necessary data: a name of the artist, its drawn, the title of organization, its stamped, number of the let out copies, destiny of circulations, etc. Besides some catalogues are mainly devoted to marks, the description of " integral things " (post cards, stamp envelopes, first day of issue, jubilee stamps, cinderella stamps, parcels post) and especially local stamps, frequently rather important for the historian (for example, Norwegian, Swiss, Russian province) is more poorly put. Apparently on the aforesaid, philately as still should be created a science, since the historical description of all issues.
